Reunited!
Finally, after more than six years, the Leyte family was reunited. Three of their children were mainstays in our Home Care in Laguna. They haven’t seen their family back in Negros. Throughout their stay in our Home Care, they didn’t receive any visit from their father or sister. Even with this situation, the kids were very cooperative, obedient under our care. Through the initiative of our coach, Leo Arnaiz, he recommended that we send the kids back to their hometown and make a way for them to spend time together as a family. The kids flew back to Negros to spend time with their dad and sister whom they have not seen for the longest time. The little girl in the picture doesn’t even have a memory of her childhood back home. She considers Visions of Hope as her home ever since. The family had a great time bonding and catching up with one another. Indeed, it was a short but sweet vacation and reunion of the Leyte Family – a vacation that will forever be embedded in their hearts. All the kids were very happy for the opportunity to go back to their roots and catch up with their father and sister. Due to the financial state of the family, their father decided to send them back to us to finish their schooling. The family was very grateful for the way CCT and VOH have taken good care of the kids. The oldest one, John Rey is even on the top of his class and have received academic achievement recognition from the school where he is enrolled in. Truly with God, anything is possible if we continue to believe.
